About Liz

Liz Ferris is a licensed clinical social worker with a history of working with adolescent and young adults struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use diagnoses. After receiving her Masters in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Research, Liz started her work running adolescent and young adult group therapy at Adolescent Advocates.

Liz continued her addiction treatment work at Ethos Treatment, LLC, working with adults, women, MAT clients and eventually running a co-occuring metal health and substance use adolescent group therapy in Plymouth Meeting.

Liz Ferris also works as the Program Director of Philadelphia Collegiate Recovery, a sober living community designed to help young adults re-enter college while maintaining sobriety. Philadelphia Collegiate Recovery helps support universities in Pennsylvania create on campus recovery support for their campuses and collegiate recovery programming to support students in recovery. Liz speaks at local Philadelphia high schools for mental health talks and substance use prevention and education talks.

Liz Ferris had a compassionate understanding of the complexities of working with adolescents and young adults and the stressors they are facing. Liz believes in engaging in entire family in treatment as well as prevention. Liz believes in the education of individuals and family as well as a strengths-based approach in challenging individuals to go beyond presenting issues through exploring relationships and family systems to create a more comprehensive awareness and understanding of self.
